Reliance Jio Prime Membership: Yes or No?

Today is officially the last day of free services that Reliance Jio provided us with for about an year. With this, rises the need of the question, should we continue using it or should we go back to how things were before Jio. Well, to be fair, the new paid plans as presented by the company are not half as bad either. So I don't see why you need to push this feat away and go back to using the costlier services. Now again, in this race of providing fair services at low costs, other networks like Airtel and BSNL sure have gotten serious. Airtel is providing 3GB (may change) data per month to it's prepaid users and about 5GB additional data to their postpaid customers for free. BSNL, on the other hand, is providing 350GB at only Rs 300. While Airtel may offer only satisfactory amount of data to it's users, BSNL sure seems to catch up to the winner.

So let's talk about the latest Jio Prime offer. This is the first thing you should have already paid for because today is the last date to do so. It costs you Rs 99 initially coupled with various strong data plans. As usual, calling stays free in all the packs but there's a catch. If you get the plan of Rs 149 and you use up all your one-time data, you will no longer be able to make calls or send messages. The plan for all the Prime Members are as follows:

So as you can see, the Rs 303 and Rs 499 are the most beneficial plans as they offer daily data. The Rs 303 plan gives you 1GB 4G data everyday and after that your speed decreases to 128kbps and the Rs 499 gives you 2GB 4G data everyday with same conditions. Now if you've already recharged with one of the above plans, you're rewarded with more data, 5GB extra data with Rs 303 plan and 10GB extra with Rs 499 plan. Moreover, every night you get unlimited 4G internet for 2am- 5am.

To conclude, the above plans and comparing them to their rivals, make a pleasing argument as to why we should continue using them. So YES, get it right now. And in case you are not gonna be using your Jio any further, it will automatically expire after 90 days. Oh my, how the times have changed. Earlier, we used to get 1GB for about Rs 250. This sure is a progress and a boost to the digital life in India. So that's all for today. Get your Prime Subscriptions real fast, in case you haven't.
