Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Launched




Google just launched it's latest beasts, Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel XL 2, into the market to compete with the other giants including Apple's latest Iphone 8 and Iphone X as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LGV30. It's natural for us to expect the best from Google since it's the one that came out last among the three. Certainly the last big-smartphone launch of this year, the phones are set to outdo their predecessors. Let's talk about specs.

Display: Google Pixel 2 comes with a 5-inch HD-OLED (1,920 x 1,080) Display and the Google Pixel 2 XL offers a 6-inch wide screen QHD (2,880 x 1,440) display, Both have Always on Display features.

Processor: Both the handsets come with octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor (four 2.35GHz cores + four 1.9GHz cores)

RAM: Both the handsets have 4GB RAM.

Camera: Both the smartphones have the same camera, 12.2-megapixel for rear and 8-megapixels for the front that lets you click really great pictures.

Android OS: Belonging to the owner of Android, both the handsets are to contain the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and will keep receiving first and frequent updates.

Storage: There are two variants for both, 64GB and 128GB.

Battery: Pixel 2 has a battery capacity of 2700mAh and the Pixel 2 XL has a battery of 3520mAh.

Prices: The price for Pixel 2 is $649 and for Pixel 2 XL is $849. $100 extra if you want the 128GB variant.





Additionally, Google also decided to give up on the 3.5mm Jack and it also has a new feature known as the Active Edge which lets you squeeze your phone to trigger the Google Assistant. The company claims it has the fastest fingerprint scanner there is in the smartphone race right now. This is all we have right now. I'll update the post as soon as we find more about these beauties.
